This was a logical step in the company’s long-term ambitions regarding its development strategy. Contrary to popular belief, the construction methods associated with the build have proven to be both cost productive and environmentally friendly; this was thanks to Saint-Gobain’s energy efficient solutions. Recycled rainwater, lighting sensors and air-cooled heat pumps all contributed to the high standards Saint Gobain is known for.

The design and construction phases were conducted with input by an independent commission using transparent procedures. The planning phase took into consideration both the general public as well as the building occupants; this was achieved through training, tours and published articles. This proved to be crucial to the achievement of the project aims.

All developed with sustainability in mind, the success of the project was made possible by utilizing Saint-Gobain’s large portfolio of products and systems as well as its unrivalled experience.
