See below how Fire resistant & High security glass for facades by Vetrotech can contribute to LEED criteria: Integrative process
Aim
To support high-performance, cost-effective project outcomes through an early analysis of the interrelationships among systems.
Detailed requirement
Beginning in pre-design and continuing throughout the design phases, the project needs to identify and use opportunities to achieve synergies across disciplines and building systems for Energy and Water-Related Systems.
For the “Energy-Related Systems” part, a preliminary “simple box” energy modelling analysis has to be performed before the completion of schematic design that explores how to reduce energy loads in the building and accomplish related sustainability goals by questioning default assumptions. At least two potential strategies associated with site conditions, massing and orientation, basic envelope attributes, lighting levels, thermal comfort ranges, plus and process load needs, programmatic and operational parameters need to be assessed.

Our contribution
To ensure high-performance and cost-effective project outcomes, early collaboration with the entire project team is necessary. Vetrotech Saint-Gobain has dedicated teams of experts in 12 sales areas that can join your projects from the very beginning, to work hand in hand with you and create synergies from respective knowledge and creativity. Because the Group offers such a wide range of green building solutions allowing for limitless possibilities, we can support you during the different steps of the project by offering advices and tools.
Vetrotech is active in more than 60 countries and organized with seven main manufacturing facilities on three continents as close as possible to their our customers, ensuring that we can respond promptly, and that our materials are sourced locally to minimize transportation.
In order to limit the environmental impact at delivery stage, 15% of our “inloaders” (special glass trailers) are used multi-modally for rail and sea. All trucks used by Vetrotech are required to follow the Euro 5 or 6 standard: their loading is optimized and drivers are trained in eco-driving. Finally, all solutions produced by Vetrotech are stored and delivered on timber stillages that ensure the protection of the glass by preventing breakages and can be retrieved on site on the customer’s request to be reused or recycled.
