Good acoustics in TABS buildings
In green buildings with thermally active building systems (TABS), the high thermal mass in the concrete floor structures is utilized to level out temperature variations in the building. A wall-to-wall ceiling cannot be used, as this would prevent heat from being transferred to and from the concrete.
In TABS buildings, good acoustics are achieved through a combination of free-hanging ceiling absorbers, wall absorbers and sound-absorbing screens. This solution ensures low energy consumption (or high energy efficiency) and good room acoustics.

The light reflectance of the surfaces in a room is crucial to maximizing the effect of artificial light and daylight in the room.
Ecophon products have a high light reflectance (85%), which means that less artificial light is needed than when products with a lower light reflectance are used, resulting in lower energy consumption.
