Key contribution

Most of Ecophon’s white absorbers have a light reflectance of 85%, which means they meet the requirement in Option 2 (Lighting Quality), point E of this LEED criterion.

To promote occupants’ productivity, comfort, and well-being by providing high-quality lighting.

Detailed requirement

Option 1. Lighting Control (1 point)

For at least 90% of individual occupant spaces, provide individual lighting controls that enable occupants to adjust the
lighting to suit their individual tasks and preferences.

Option 2. Lighting Quality (1 point)

For at least 90% of the regularly occupied floor area, meet or exceed the following thresholds for area-weighted average
surface reflectance: 85% for ceilings, 60% for walls, and 25% for floors.

Our contribution

Ecophon offers a range of surface finishes for various applications. Most of our white absorbers have a high light reflectance of at least 85%. This means they meet the requirement in option 2, point E in the “Interior lighting” section for LEED certification.
