See below how Acoustic ceilings & Wall panels by Ecophon can contribute to LEED criteria: Innovation
Key contribution
Ecophon offers psychoacoustic analysis where the first step is to carry out a survey among a room’s future occupants. Based on these responses, we recommend the most suitable acoustic solution derived from sustainable materials.
Aim
To encourage projects to achieve outstanding or innovative levels or performance.
Detailed requirement
Project team can use any combination of:
- Innovation: by achieving significant, measurable environmental performance using a strategy not addresses in the LEED rating system.
- Pilot: By achieving one pilot credit from USGBC’s LEED Pilot credit library
- And exemplary performances strategies: an exemplary performance point is typically earned for achieving double the credit requirements or the next incremental percentage threshold.

Our contribution
The psychological aspect of acoustics is extremely important. Ultimately, it is always people’s experiences that determine their well-being. Ecophon works with leading researchers to develop knowledge and understanding of how sound affects people physically, physiologically and psychologically.
One result of this work is that we offer psychoacoustic surveys where we speak to the future occupants of the building and then recommend the optimal acoustic solution.
