For the “Energy-Related Systems” part, a preliminary “simple box” energy modelling analysis has to be performed before the completion of schematic design that explores how to reduce energy loads in the building and accomplish related sustainability goals by questioning default assumptions. At least two potential strategies associated with site conditions, massing and orientation, basic envelope attributes, lighting levels, thermal comfort ranges, plus and process load needs, programmatic and operational parameters need to be assessed.

Through the development of Building Information Modeling (BIM) objects, Eurocoustic participates in the integration of its products in the digital models of buildings from conception to use.
These objects will take into account the technical and environmental characteristics of the products in the modeling of the building in order to calculate its LCA and evaluate the energy consumption and lighting, the insulation values, internal surface reflection factors and comfort ranges as well as the planned operations and maintenance.
