See below how Acoustic ceilings by Eurocoustic can contribute to LEED V4.0 criteria: Building life-cycle impact reduction
Aim
To encourage adaptive reuse and optimize the environmental performance of products and materials.
Detailed requirement
Option 1 “Historic building reuse”: (5 points)
Maintain the existing building structure, envelope, and interior nonstructural elements of a historic building or contributing building in a historic district.
Option 2 “Renovation of abandoned or blighted building”: (5 points)
Maintain at least 50%, by surface area, of the existing building structure, enclosure, and interior structural elements for buildings that meet local criteria of abandoned or are considered blight.
Option 3 “Building and material reuse” (2–4 points)
Reuse or salvage building materials from off site or on site.
Option 4 “Whole-building life-cycle assessment”: (3 points)
For new construction (buildings or portions of buildings), conduct a life-cycle assessment of the project’s structure and enclosure that demonstrates a minimum of 10% reduction, compared with a baseline building. No impact category assessed as part of the life-cycle assessment may increase by more than 5% compared with the baseline building.

Our contribution
Life Cycle Assessment is a necessary step to assess the environmental footprint of the whole building. Indeed, it consists in quantifying all the inputs and outputs (materials, energy ...) to assess environmental impacts associated with the building from the choice of building materials until the end of life.
With this in mind, Eurocoustic has invested in the realization of complete LCAs of its products to provide consumers with Environmental and Health Product Declarations (EHPD) in accordance with the applicable standards. All our products have verified third party verified EHPDs available on INIES database. This analysis also allows us to assess the environmental impact of our products in order to improve their ecological footprint at each stage of their life cycle. As a result, the choice of Eurocoustic products will contribute to the reduction of 10% required to obtain this credit.
