Aim

To assess and take into account environment impacts, in accordance with European standard prEN 15804 or international standard ISO 21930, in the choice of construction products.

Our contribution

• Option 2.3.1 (Determine the environmental impact of the construction products) &
  Option 2.3.2 (Choose construction products to limit the environmental impact of the building)

Gyproc offers EPDs worldwide for most of its solutions in the market. We choose to have Cradle to Grave EPDs, covering the entire life cycle of the product (from the extraction of materials to its end of life) and complying with international standards (ISO 14025, 14040, 14044, and EN 15804 or ISO 21930).

Saint-Gobain’s EPDs are region and product-specific and are renewed every five years.

Also, Lightweight systems often have a lower environmental footprint as compared to brick or cement which enable the building to have in it’s all a lower global environmental footprint.
