See below how Insulation solutions by ISOVER can contribute to BREEAM criteria: Construction waste management
Key contribution
As a pioneer of green building, ISOVER is one of the first insulation manufacturers to conduct Life Cycle Assessments and to provide third-party verified Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs) for its solutions in accordance with international standards.
Aim
To recognise and encourage the use of robust and appropriate life cycle assessment tools and consequently the specification of construction materials with a low environmental impact (including embodied carbon) over the full life cycle of the building.
Requirement summary
Reductions in the building’s environmental life cycle impacts through assessment of the main building elements. The number of credits awarded is function of the calculator point achieved. In addition, where a range of at least five products specified at Design Stage and installed by Post-Construction Stage are covered by verified EPD, 1 credit awarded.

Our contribution
Providing credible and fact-based information is crucial to our customers. ISOVER communicates detailed information about its products’ environmental performance through the issuing of Life Cycle Assessments (LCAs). These are science based and assess the impact of construction products on buildings and the environment over their entire life cycle.
ISOVER performs “cradle to grave” LCAs and EPDs according to ISO 21930 or EN 15804 standards for our full range of products. The results are presented as EPDs that are then verified independently by a third party. EPDs are product and region specific to account for local conditions and are renewed every five years.
