Key contribution

With Ecophon’s productsderived from sustainable materials, you increase the flexibility in a building in two ways: The absorbent panel and the grid can easily be dismantled and moved to another part of the building Ecophon Combison™ combines high sound absorption in a space with high insulation against sound from outside the room. Ecophon Combison makes it possible to build partition walls that end at the ceiling without the risk of having problems with sound leaking through the void between the ceiling and ceiling slab. These walls can easily be moved and offer maximum flexibility.

Aim

To recognise and encourage measures taken to accommodate future changes of use of the building over its lifespan.

Requirement summary

Encourage consideration and implementation of measures to accommodate future changes to the use of the building and its systems over its lifespan. For instance, use products or systems which allow easy replacement and adapted to future changes.

Our contribution

Easy to move

All Ecophon products, made from sustainable materials, are characterized by being easy to dismantle and reinstall in another space. This makes it possible to move the products as the requirements change over time.

Flexible walls

Ecophon Combison™ is a product family that combines sound absorption with sound insulation. This means that a single panel gives both good acoustics in the room where it is installed, and prevents sound from propagating to and from adjacent rooms.

With Combison, you can build partition walls that end at the ceiling (and not go all the way up to the ceiling slab) without having to worry about sound leakage. This increases the flexibility in how the spaces are used over the lifespan of the building and minimizes costs for the original building as well as for future changes.
